Hauer was proud to have been commissioned by the film festivals committee to design and create commemorative Lapel Pins adorned by the film festival's Gold Patrons each year. The Hauer pins grew over the years along with the festival, and became the only real status symbol of the festival and the only piece of identification that clearly distinguishes the Gold Patrons from others.
